There seem to be so many types of gas central heating boiler … how do you make the right choice. Well obviously our trained engineers can help you through the terminology – but here are a few definitions to help you on your way!

We can install, upgrade, repair or service all boiler types

Condensing boiler

A condensing boiler converts excess heat in the exhaust gases into heat for your home. The can be either combi or system boilers.

Combi boilers

A combi boiler provides central heating and hot water on demand with no need for a cylinder or cold water tank.

Open-vent boilers

Heating only boilers providing central heating and hot water via a storage cylinder housed in your airing cupboard and a cold water tank in the loft.

System boilers

System boilers provide central heating and hot water working with a cylinder.

Back boiler

A back boiler is a boiler that sits behind a fire – gas fire or solid fuel fire

There are various government criteria you must meet in order to be eligible – our office can advise you.
We can also help you claim your voucher which you can put towards the cost of a new, energy efficient, central heating boiler.
